Hi all,
I know many of us are grieving about no Armadillo this year! Besides missing a wonderful ride, we were also going to have our TERA fall members meeting as well as vote in our new TERA President.
Therefore, we will do both at our first ride of the 2019 season-River Run. The vote and meeting will be Friday evening December 7. Tommy Robichaux has stepped up to run for President. If anyone else wants to run for this position, you now have up until and including the 7th to be up for election-just let me know!

2019 River Run!

Entry Flyer

"Saz" Sazama
The news of Sylvia Sazama's husband, "Saz", passing away on the morning of November 7th was sad for us all.  He was loved by everyone around camp, and was known as THE BEST rider crew, not just helping his wife, but other riders as he could.  Many have asked what they could do to support Sylvia.  As she is, and as Saz was, a big part of the "Sam Houston Trail Coalition", we are suggesting that you make a donation to the "SHTC".  Below is a brief description of them, and a link to their website.  You can click on "About", then "Make A Donation", and at the bottom of the form, click on the drop down menu for "I certify this donation goes to", and choose either "Equestrian", or "SHTC General Fund".
The Sam Houston Trails Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to expanding & maintaining the hiking, biking, equestrian, motorized & multi-use trail systems in the Sam Houston National Forest. The coalition has two Texas Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grants for new trail construction, but the coalition must cover 20% of the cost. By making a tax deductible donation you, the trail user, ensure these projects move forward.

As usual, the endurance community is wanting to step up and reach out to one of our members.  What a fantastic group we are.  Thank you for considering using this information to support Sylvia, in the loss of her husband, and our friend, Saz.

If you have questions or need additional information, feel free to contact Vickie Roden at (972) 523-8533.

2019 AERC Central Region Party!

Save the date!
Central region convention is scheduled for January 19 2019. It will be in Oklahoma. Bruce Burton will finalize the venue within the next few days. Next year, plans will be made for it to be back in Texas.

We need some speakers or one very special one! If you have someone in mind, please contact myself, Tommy Robichaux or Dr. Bob Rogers.

Also, if you have something nice that you would like to donate to auction off at the convention, bring it! Money brought in from the auction will go towards the convention for 2020. The proceeds will be added to the funds that we bring in from the ride raffles.

Hope to see y’all at our next TERA ride-River Run!
